Located in the heart of the old town Vallauris, A.I.R. Vallauris (Artists in Residence), a non-profit association, welcomes artists from around the world to its lodgings and studios to meet with local artists and to research and create new works in a unique setting, A.I.R. Vallauris has welcomed over 500 international artists since its creation in 2001.

2026 Programme

For the past 23 years, A.I.R. Vallauris, a non-profit association and Artist Residency programme based in Vallauris, France, has welcomed international artists from all horizons to meet and collaborate with local artists and to research and create new work in an artistic laboratory created specifically for them.

In celebration of our first two decades of operation and as we embark upon our third, we continue pursue our aim to provide an environment for artists that is conducive to and inspiring for new creation. In addition, these experiences are enriched through cultural exchange between participants of different countries, nationalities, and backgrounds and through the sharing of knowledge, techniques and experiences.
 
We are pleased to announce that we are currently accepting applications for Standard Residency and Atelier Tremplin 2026.

EXHIBITIONS

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the exhibition of works created in residence by our five international artists!

Wednesday November 25th to Sunday November 30th, 2025.

• Wednesday to Sunday: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
• Saturday 29 November Reception : 11:00am – 1:00pm
  In the presence of the artists and
  live musical accompaniment with Renaud le Dantec on Piano

The exhibition “Invitation au voyage” reflects the concept of our residency by inviting you to discover contemporary art from different countries through a selection of works created in residency by numerous international artists. This artistic event takes place in the Salle Francis Crociani, a municipal space belonging to the town of Vallauris. Francis Crociani (1929-2023) is a legendary Vallauris ceramist and painter.
